Achieve simple, precise temperature control from virtually anywhere with a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Smart thermostats can help conserve energy and reduce your energy costs. The XL824 works with most traditional HVAC systems to optimize whole home comfort. Plus, it can be used to control up to two indoor air quality products, like a dehumidifier or ventilation system, to keep the air you're breathing at home cleaner.
An attic tent helps close a major source of both heat gain and heat loss in your home. Its primary design is to stop air infiltration between the home and attic, the most common medium for wasting costly energy, during both hot and cold seasons. In summer, heat from a broiling attic infiltrates downward into living spaces. Heat gain from a hot attic can raise temperatures in air conditioned rooms below by as much as ten degrees!
Carbon monoxide can be produced by any fuel burning device. The three main sources are your homes furnace, dryer venT, and fireplace or chimney. It is important to have these appliances regularly serviced and cleaned by a professional to help prevent a leak that could lead to carbon monoxide poisoning. Carbon monoxide alarms detect the poisonous gas and help provide an early warning. In the event of a carbon monoxide leak, it is critical that you get to fresh air as soon as possible. Every second counts, and First Alert CO detectors can help provide you and your family the advanced warning necessary to escape your home during an emergency.
Safe-T-Switch condensate overflow switches detect clogged A/C condensate drains and shut off the system to prevent water damage. Should a blockage occur, the probe senses the rising condensate level and electronically triggers the external switch to shut down the system. Water damage to the structure is prevented, providING condensate overflow protection for the primary drain, the secondary port of the primary pan and the safety pan.
The condensate overflow switch serves to prevent the pan from overflowing if the AC drain stops working properly. The switch is activated when the level of the water in the pan comes above a certain point, causing the switch mechanism to trip/float to rise AND Water damage to the structure is prevented
A kick start helpS give the mechanism in the compressor more force so it will start faster and have less wear and tear, AN AC COMPRESSOR needs the most torque, or force when it starts up. This is also when the compressor experiences the most wear and tear.
a patented whole-house air filtration system Designed from the ground up to clean the air like nothing before, CleanEffects makes the air in your home feel cleaner and fresher than you thought possible! CleanEffects™ filtration can help those affected with respiratory distress by reducing “triggers” that cause these attacks. Many common allergens are small enough to bypass the body’s natural defenses and embed deep in the lungs, aggravating breathing ailments. Since CleanEffects filters down to .1 micron, or 700 times smaller than a human hair, it is extremely effective at removing spores, mold, pollen, pet dander, dirt and dust, preventing them from entering your air, and your lungs.
A 4” filter provides more surface space to trap contaminants, facilitating proper air flow and continual contaminant removal. With more surface area to trap airborne contaminants, a 4” media air filter offers a longer service life than a 1” media air filter does. The 4-inch thick air filter has a definite advantage over the 1” filter in terms of longevity, airflow and maximum filtering potential. Thus, if it fits your furnace, then a 4-inch air filter is better than a 1-inch air filter in regards to improving air quality. the price difference between 1-inch and 4-inch air filters is often only a few dollars & Because a 4-inch filter lasts longer, it usually provides better value.
The HALO-LED™ Whole Home In-Duct Air Purifier uses new revolutionary REME-LED® technology to help protect the air for you and your family. REME-LED® provides a longer product life with improved energy efficiency, zero ozone creation and no mercury, which is sometimes found in traditional UV lamps. With the reme halo You get proactive air treatment in your home by combining low levels of airborne hydrogen peroxide with ionization reducing viruses, bacteria, mold spores, dust, dander & pollen.
While external factors like lightning can cause power surges, a majority of power surges are actually generated internally. They’re usually short and originate from your home’s appliances. While these surges are small and won’t cause major damage alone, over time they can affect the motors in your AC unit, and damage and shorten the lifespan of your HVAC system. This is why it’s important to have a surge protector to PREVENT A HARMFUL SURGE. Surge protectors prevent potential damage and act as insurance for your HVAC system. Lightning can travel as far as 1/2 mile, and summer storms put your HVAC system at risk. A surge protector will redirect high voltage surges, like those from lightning, into the ground and away from your HVAC system.
