Should a blockage occur, the probe senses the rising condensate level and electronically triggers the external switch to shut down the system. Water damage to the structure is prevented, providING condensate overflow protection for the primary drain, the secondary port of the primary pan and the safety pan.

The condensate overflow switch serves to prevent the pan from overflowing if the AC drain stops working properly.
